TEMPORARY BASIS
Temporary Basis explores the merging of music and technology in live performances and events. We partnered with the Delicious Vinyl to build the installation in the Infinity Room gallery.
Inspired by the design of a suspension bridge, we created a room-sized electronic instrument played by plucking eight giant strings linked to music samples. We custom-built two giant bass tubes and a reflective chandelier that ran the length of the gallery space. As the instrument was played, music and lights were triggered to create an immersive, retro sci-fi experience of colors and sounds.
