Concept DEVELOPMENT

History of Electronic Music by Electric Love

INSPIRATION

Where does electronic music come from? As we know it, there were many pioneers of electronic music from over 100 years ago, but we felt there was more to the story. We explored how the marriage of music and technology created an entirely new language, almost otherworldly. The only explanation we could offer is that it came from aliens. In a neighboring galaxy is the planet Tremola. This species created electronic music as a renewable energy source.

The Tremolan species

Tremolan Lifeform

In the late 19th century the Tremolans visited Earth with the plan to gift humans with the formula to convert music into energy. Musicians were the only humans that could decipher their language, and at that time classical music was the norm.

Edgar Varese and Leon Theremin were among the first to interact with Tremolans and began to decipher their language.

It took decades to properly create electronic music, and by the time our species learned to reproduce it, we never realized its value beyond entertainment.

DESIGN

We wanted to design a spaceship that could take off at any moment. Users can program the vessel by making music and powering up the ship. The giant buttons would respond through light and sound, creating an immersive experience to connect people together.
